{about me}

My professional photography career began after I graduated from the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in 2007. My first project was a collaboration titled Faces of the Pov to benefit our local homeless shelter, The Poverello Center in Missoula, MT. This exhibit featured my individual black and white portraits paired with paintings created by local artist Kim Anderson and included words sharing their unique stories. Since then I have worked as a gallery assistant, photo assistant to Steven Begleiter, traveling photo assistant to Philip North Coombes creating catalog imagery for Eddie Bauer. My work has been accepted into numerous publications including Montana Outdoors, National Geographic News and American Archeology Magazine. I was accepted into a juried exhibition at Gallery Saintonge in 2008 and the Missoula Art Museum Montana Triennial show in 2009. In 2011 I was awarded an artist-in-residence at Jentel Artist Residency in Banner, WY.
Up until recently I worked as Photo Editor and Photographer for the alt-weekly newspaper, the Missoula Independent and quarterly outdoor adventure magazine Montana Headwall. The summer of 2015 I traveled to Fiji to work as a Photo Guide for Rustic Pathways leading trips and documenting students participating in service and adventure programs. I currently freelance focusing on adventure, lifestyle and portrait photography and tell stories that portray our deep connections to the earth through tradition, food and adventure.
